love in a box

Charlie is my go-to baking guy.

It is our way of spending time together.  We chat. We work together. We have time with just the two of us, which is hard to find sometimes when he is squished between two other brothers.

It doesn't need to be from scratch. He doesn't judge.

He's just glad for the simple time we get together.

And so am I.

What are the simple ways you connect with your little ones?

Happy Monday, Friends!

Much love,
Katie

Love the simple joys! Josie and I usually swing together, or I push her on the swings and she sings :)
Precious moments!

Today we played memory and practiced writing our letters. It was a fun morning.

i'm not a baker and i feel bad that
i don't bake much with my kids.
it's just not enjoyable for me.. and i can think about is the mess it will make :(
your post is kinda making me think like i may be able to try it again with them.. so long as i don't have to make it from scratch :)

I love to bake with my kids, too. My son calls me to his room every morning and we snuggle in bed, just talking about things. It's a nice way for him to wake up. My daughter is 16 now and it's hard for me to think about our bonding moments right now, because she's so independent. I'll have to make more of an effort to change that. Thanks for helping me see the need for that through your post. Love your blog.
