And everytime we go, I find a new creative excuse to dodge him getting it done.
I don't like to spend extra money.
I don't like the mess.
I don't want to have to scrub it off as soon as we get home.
However, there are times when you have to let go.
Let go of the things we are rigid about.
Let go of the things that make us uncomfortable.
Let go of the things that keep us happy in order to bring happiness to someone else.
Yes, even if it is face paint.
Much love,
Katie

I wrote about letting go, too. With a little bit of a different spin. Glad you were able to enjoy the moment!
I let my kids get their face painted for the first time this past Halloween... All of my friends were shocked that I had never let them do it before... They still have never had their whole face painted... Just little things on their cheeks...
what a cutie!! thanks for the reminder-wow, you're a good friend!! xo
Awesome!
that face paint is awesome. lol. you are a sweet mama to indulge them....once in awhile, right?! ;)

Cute post katie. We were at a bday party recently and they were doing face paint and my girls were scared to death of it. Funny how all kids are different with that sort of thing.
legoland!! oh wow. don't tell my son that there is such a thing! ;) …& way to go on the whole face painting! i like his little expression. such sweet memories.
Ahh... face paint, besides the money, my kids usually have it mostly rubbed off before we even head for home.
Great post and cute pic :)
WOW - That's hard core face paint!!! good for you for letting go!!
Oh my gosh! We're so like-minded on some things (like face paint) that it makes me wonder if we were separated at birth or something. But like you...I've given in before, and it was worth letting go to see their faces :)
That is so fun. Wish we were close to Legoland!
So cute! and jealous of your proximity to legoland :)
That's fun. My nephews would be so jealous of your outings to legoland!!
GOOD for you, Momma!
I have such a hard time with the letting go stuff. I need some lessons or something before I turn into the world's witchiest (add the B in) Mommy.
