spontaneity

My middle son, Charlie (5), and I were waiting outside of the Sweet Factory at the mall to buy chocolate rock candy and candy corns for his birthday cake. You can check out the killer homemade cake here.

We arrived a few minutes early and I felt impatience sneaking up on me.

But then I spotted a photo booth and seized the moment. Very unlike me. I like routine, schedules, predictability.

We hopped in together, made silly faces, giggled, and snuggled.

Photobucket

I proudly displayed the photos on our refrigerator when we got home. The next morning, I noticed a blue sticky note attached at the bottom from my husband who had already left for work. It said, "You guys are two peas in a pod."

He's right. We are.

Much love,
Katie

oh how much i LOVE this.
seriously.

my mom and i did something similar a few years back - we were at a mall we dont normally go to, and they had a photobooth.

i don't know what possessed me, but i made her do it with me (perhaps my love of photobooths, or just my love of my mom)

there is just something awesome about those skinny photostrips.

peas in a pod, for sure. :)

ps-I haven't been able to comment here.... I think though, if you change from embedded to pop-up comments that it should fix the problem!
