After living here for 2 years, the two younger boys' bedroom is finally complete.
*Insert major sigh of relief.
After some serious spray painting drama, we wrapped up the project (minus super ugly carpet and new baseboards).
Here is what we started with when moved in:
Um...yeah, that carpet is as ugly as it looks. You'll notice it is still there. If you notice that the paint doesn't go down to the baseboards that's because we're replacing the carpet and getting higher baseboards soon. Yippee!
And here is what we have now:
Walking in on the right side...
Daddy's glove from long ago...
This is what you see when you walk in and look straight ahead...
One of my fav pics from 3 years ago...
And finally, this is what you see on your left...
The boys picked their own sports themed bedding and blue paint. I went with it. They are 100% all boy, what can I say?
It is my no means a large room, but we managed to squeeze in the essentials and reflect the boys' interests. They also have a big walk-in closet which is a major advantage for toy storage.
My guys are happy to have a room in which they had an opinion and I'm happy to finally have 1 more project checked off our home remodeling to-do list.
Much love,
Katie

Very cute! Isn't it so fun to make a cute functional space for your kids?! Love it...and I bet the boys do, too!
Looks SO good... You did a ton in a small space. Where did you find those great blue shelves and red book cases? I think I NEED them! And what a great feeling to finally have a job COMPLETED! XoXo
So neat and organized. Love the jar idea!
i seriously loooooove it!
What a super fun room! It looks great! The floating shelves and bookshelves are such a good idea for a smallish room.
This is kind of a silly question, but have they always shared a room? I have a strong hunch that new baby and wild toddler will be sharing a room, and I was wondering if yours bunked out together that early. Any thoughts or suggestions on that one? :-)
I love it! Those red book shelves on the wall are great. Where did you get them?
Love from,
Greta

that's a great room :) i have a boy/girl sharing a room now, and have had a boy/boy sharing a room. we've made the older two switch on and off with bunking with their younger brother.
I love that you stuck the matchbox's in the jar... ADORABLE ROOM!
I love the shelves and the books, and the baseball sign and mitt! I'm a sucker for old vintage baseball stuff! :)
Way to go Katie! It looks great! I've been going through the same thing with my girls' room- just a couple more things- like filling all the holes in the walls!
I love all the red and blue! Plus it's so clean and organized. Great job! And way to go letting the boys pick what they want. That can be really hard, I know.
katie! it looks awesome! i love all the sweet little boy details. the cars in a jar is super cute. stealing that, i think;) way to go, letting the guys own their space. i know you're a bit like me, and it was maybe kinda hard;) LOVE you!!
Looks amazing! I'm super impressed!
well done ... love it!
oh my goodness! this looks fabulous. and i'm encouraged by the fact that it took you 2 years. we've been moved in since april and i'm feeling overwhelmed/sad/pathetic that i haven't touched any of our rooms. or any room at all actually. agh!!! great job, katie. i love how simple and organized yet "little boy" specific it is.
