oh no i didn't

I swore I'd never ever do it.

I may have enough snickered at the vision of it when I was a teenager.

But, I must confess, I did it.

I purchased matching shirts for my 3 boys (8,5, and 3)

And let me be the 1st to warn you, they are "HERE I AM, MOM!" shirts for summer safety.

We spend a lot of time during our summers at Legoland and Sea World. We have passes and enjoy spending our days crusing around on the coast with cool ocean breezes at either of these parks.

Summer days can be long, and let me be honest, these passes have been a lifesaver for this sometimes tired and cranky mama who can't be stuck at home with 3 rowdy boys for too long before she has to put herself in time out.

So instead of freaking out when I can't find one of my boys in the midst of 500 other boys wearing blue shirts, I can spot my precious babes from a mile away.

In an attempt to coolify the shirts, I bought iron-ons...

and as easy as 1-2-3, I was able to individualize them and somewhat de-dork the fact that they are all in 1980's matching florescent green shirts.

Much love,
Katie

SO funny! I'm quite the opposite. In high school, I was saying that my kids will be wearing the same neon shirts when we go out. I have very poor eyesight. Can you blame me?! :)

Not dorky at all! Super smart. I also have my boys in bright colored baseball hats. That helps a lot too.
And great idea about the patches!
Love from,
Greta

A VERY SENSIBLE idea! Love how you "coolified" the t-shirts.
Thanks for visiting my blog! :)

Came over from Flower Patchgirl. Love your blog. And the idea of patches to personalize was genius. Thanks for sharing.

I do it all the time. Enjoy it while you can because once hey hit the size 12 it is harder to find matching clothes. Plus they begin to get opinions of their own.

Haven't you noticed? Day glo is back! Give them each a pair of hot pink sun glasses and checkerboard chucks and you are a truly fashion forward mama! ;)

I totally dress my boys alike! My hubby isn't a big fan, but I told him that once Nolan is done with Kindergarten I'll stop. They do, however, almost always wear bright orange when we're out in a crowd. Bright colors keep me sane!

"Coolify!" Love it!! Those shirts are completely awesome. I am a bit jealous about your season passes--we took the kiddos to Legoland when they were little and it was awesome!

I don't think that is dorky at all!
Plus you made them super cool with their unique iron ons.
When we are going somewhere I always dress my girls in matchy clothes, the biggest reason, being that I can find them both easier!!!

Too cute Katie! I always put Connor in a super bright color when we go out to the parks. Makes it so much easier! Love the iron ons!

Since I only have one little, my goal is unique or brightly colored clothing. I was lucky enough to get a polo from my sister that EXACTLY matches one of Truman's shirts (wide teal and white stripes) which I plan to use on our next outing. I am also writing my cell phone number in Sharpie on his arm.
PS- Love the decals :-))
